Throughout Jesus' ministry, He would have been walking through the countrysides and the hills would have been covered in vines. It was a very familiar visual image for the people of Judah.In this section of the Upper Room discourse, Jesus uses the image of the vine to discuss his relationship between Himself and His People, the Church.
